Silverbacks Fitness Gym Rules

 1. The "Good Vibes" Rules (Playful)

  • Re-Rack or Retract: If you’re strong enough to lift it, you’re strong enough to put it back. Weights left on the floor will be assumed to be "orphans" and given a stern talking to… if you find an orphan please take it home.

  • The Sweat Tax: If you leave a puddle, you must pay the "Sweat Tax" by wiping it down. We don't want to know your DNA that well.

  • No "Phone-Hogging": If you’ve spent more time scrolling than lifting, it’s time to move on. Your followers can wait; the person waiting for the squat rack can’t.

  • The Grunt Meter: We love intensity, but if you sound like a tennis pro in a Grand Slam final, please dial it back a notch.

  • Dress for Success: Please wear actual gym clothes. Capes are optional; jeans and flip-flops are definitely not.

2. The "Safety First" Rules (Formal)

  • Unmanned Hours: This facility is unstaffed from time to time, specifically at night. You acknowledge that you are training at your own risk.

  • Personal Alarms: During unmanned hours, members are contractually required to ensure they know where to locate the alarm points.

  • Equipment Care: Use equipment only as intended. Dropping dumbbells or slamming plates is grounds for membership review.

  • Reporting Hazards: If a machine breaks, don’t just walk away. Report it immediately via a member of staff or email, this ensures we can keep everyone safe.

No Intoxication: Entry under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly prohibited and will result in an immediate ban.Smoking, including e-cigarettes, is not something we want in any area of the gym. Any member found to be breach of this rule may have their membership terminated.

  •

3. The "KISI & Upstairs" Rules (Strict)

  • The "One Tap, One Body" Rule: Your KISI access is for you alone. Letting someone else "tailgate" in behind you is a breach of safety and security and will result in an instant ban.

  • Upstairs Boundaries: The stairs lead to changing rooms and toilets only, your membership does not magically make you the next Claudio Silva or *eye roll* Connor McGregor.

  • No Mat-Trespassing: Unless you have a specific Martial Arts membership, the upstairs mats are strictly out of bounds. Stepping onto the mats or training in the martial arts zone will result in your membership being revoked.

  • CCTV is Always Watching: We monitor the hallway and entrance 24/7. Smile—you're on camera (but please, keep the "posing" to the gym floor).

Silverbacks Fitness maintains and enforces membership rules to ensure that you have a safe and enjoyable atmosphere in which to workout. Silverbacks may amend these rules from time to time and will publicise any changes by way of an email to our members.

We were all beginners once, if you don’t know how to use a piece of equipment then you should ask a colleague.

By signing the membership terms and conditions You have considered your own personal fitness requirements and will exercise within your own abilities, taking into consideration any disabilities which you may have.

CAR PARKING & MOBILITY

  1. Our car parks (if your Club has one) may only be used by Members, guests, and visitors while they are on Club premises. You may not leave your car in our car parks at any other time (for example, you may not leave it there following a Club visit while you go shopping elsewhere).

We're sorry for being direct, but we operate a NO D*ckhead Policy. We welcome members who respect the gym, respect fellow members and respect our staff. If there is any aggression, harassment, intimidation or verbal abuse towards staff or members, then we reserve the right to terminate your Membership immediately. We hope that you understand.

All TEEN members MUST attend an Onboarding session within 7 days of joining and we do require a completed Parental Consent Form

You agree not to conduct any Personal Training business with other Members.

You agree you are using the changing rooms at your own risk during the unmanned hours.

You agree not to use, block or interfere with fire, emergency or disabled access doors or alarms (except in a genuine emergency).

You agree not to take photographs or videos in the entirety of the property or post remarks on any social media or other internet sites without the express permission of any staff or members who appear in the video or photo. Photos and Videos are strictly prohibited in the changing rooms, anyone seen taking photos or videos will be asked to delete them, their membership may be terminated and if necessary the police will be called.

For safety reasons, we ask you not to bring bags onto the gym floor. Feel free to use the lockers provided, but please only use them for the duration of your training session, as they will be emptied at night and your items removed to lost property. Furthermore, you agree that you will not leave any belongings overnight in the lockers.

We’ll always try to return your lost property, but unfortunately can’t take responsibility for any item held there. No one wants their things donated to charity or destroyed, so make sure to claim them within a week.

Dignity and respect are one of the most important things to us at Silverbacks Fitness  so please never behave in an aggressive, abusive, anti-social or threatening manner. We consider any act of harassment, sexual harassment, bullying or victimisation to be in direct conflict with our culture & values. Any breaches of this could result in termination of your membership immediately and we reserve the right to contact the police if we think it’s necessary.

You agree to wear suitable clothing and footwear when exercising. For clarity, denim jeans, flip-flops, sliders, crocs, work boots or a bare torso are examples of what is NOT permitted. Any member not wearing suitable attire may be asked to change or leave the gym at the discretion of the local management team. Please note that all members are required to wear a top whilst training, again avoiding the potential of being asked to leave the gym.

Finally, our gyms are to exercise in, not to sleep in. We love having you here, but please make sure to leave the premises when you’re done with your workout, and we’ll see you again next time.

You agree to enter and exit the Club quietly so as not to disturb any of our neighbours. We are a small part of the community in the industrial estate and we ask that you park respectfully and demonstrate the gym values while in the estate.

Finally, we are a small community gym that has worked hard to provide a safe, clean and happy environment where everyone can train, please respect other members and the faciality so we can continue to grow and improve your experience.
